Al’s First Year: Prologue
Note: Majority of the characters were taken from the epilogue of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. There are tons of spoilers. If you haven’t read the book, go not continue any farther. This is from Al’s point of view.

Albus Severus Potter was a normal boy; well, as normal as you can get with being a wizard. He was the middle child of Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley.  The couple also had James Potter and Lily Potter, Al’s older brother and younger sister. The family lived in Godric’s Hollow, where all three children were born.
Albus was a skinny boy with unruly jet-black hair and brilliant emerald green eyes. Everyone told him he looked his dad, who’d inherited the black hair and thin face from his dad James, and the green eyes from his mum Lily. He was a miniature Harry, just without glasses.
Every thing, Albus would feel annoyed when someone compared him to the famous Harry Potter. Nobody could understand. He didn’t want to be Harry, he wanted to be himself. He wanted to make his own way in life and be famous for who he was, not for who he was similar to.
When he was barely 1, his parents had shown him magic and got him his own toy broomstick. Later on, he had been able to consciously use magic. He’d impressed his family with his flying skills too. “Just like your dad,” his mum would tell him. They bought him a Firebolt for his eleventh birthday, right before he got the letter from Hogwarts.
That very day, his parents took him to Diagon Alley for his school supplies for Hogwarts. His wand was elm, with a phoenix feather. Harry also let him pick a pet, so Al got a snowy own which James, getting the idea from Uncle Ron, named Pigwidgeon.
However, now, it was September 1st and despite looking forward to this day, all he wanted to do was go home and have Lily take his place. First of all, he’d never been away from home without adults from his family. There were no guardians in his family at Hogwarts. Then, James told him about the threstals, and Albus believed him because James was in his third year. In the car ride, James had also said he’d be in Slytherin. Of course, Slytherin wasn’t as bad as before, but there were still people talking about it. His dad had reassured him that the hate would listen to what people wanted, but he was the famous Harry Potter. What if the hat only made an exception?
That led to his last problem. Al knew that everyone stared at him for looking extraordinarily like his dad. His dad was famous in the Wizarding World, but nobody would ever answer why. None of his family, including extended, would ever give him a direct answer. They’d always say, “You wouldn’t understand” The eleven-year old did understand one thing though. Once he got to Hogwarts, nothing would stop him from looking up his father’s past.
Because of that, he had willing boarded the Hogwarts Express with his favorite cousin Rose, and was headed off to an adventure.
